Chapter 3- Some Other Sunset 1by ~Star-Seal

THIS LOOKED AMAZING IN PERSON BUT I WENT TO THE SCANNER AND SLIGO SAID "FRICK YOU I'M A FRICKING OTTER" AND KILLED EVERYONE AND THE BLOOD GOT ON THE WIRING AND THE SCANNER IS ALLERGIC SO SHE GOT A COLD AND THEN ELOPED WITH THE ELECTRIC TEA KETTLE AND I HAD TO WAIT TILL AFTER THE HONEYMOON TO GET MY SCANS BACK AND I THINK SHE DID THEM WHILE THEY WERE JETSKIING BECAUSE THEY DON'T LOOK VERY GOOD AT ALL.
So. My apologies.
(Highly recommended you read this first [link] because there are some new faces in this round.)

Uploading now because *phantomdeus is a SNEAK RAT and I hate her.

Also because this is a prologue I've had in the works since Hawaii, hence the use of 'wahine' up there.
So! Here we have a lovely look into what goes on behind the scenes while Sending is in a trance to let slip dry in her injuries. In which:
-She took her shawl off to heal the crack in her chest SHUT UP, RAXION.
-Her eyes flash different colors, which is why they're purple up there.
-The otter king once again comes off as a much bigger jerk than he is
-The sky is populated by globular amoebas for some reason
-Very fat animals occupy the head table
-Sending has a low self-esteem
-Plushes look sad
-Fierkehpr reminds us why Sending doesn't like being hugged or held down
-We get to see Sligo's true colors
-I didn't use watercolor paper so the colors are awful
-HOLY $%^&* THERE'S COLOR IN STAR-SEAL'S GALLERY WHAT.

Sending's 'dreams' are tangible manifestations of her subconscious; her desires, secrets, interests, and fears all come to light. Shown here we see her greatest fear, the fear of failure and uselessness, which is something I share with her. Keep in mind Dhobar and Fierkehpr would never say such things to her, which is why I left tails of their speech- they are simply there to voice what Sending is constantly worrying about. And yes, Sligo actually IS going to drink, or at least try; shades are plagued by a constant and insufferable thirst.
I made this before thinking of watercolors which is why I didn't use the good paper. I'LL KNOW BETTER NEXT TIME OKAY.

COLOR FTW!!!!

I can tell you worked hard are this page. The panelling is good, it flows well and the individual pictures are top notch. You probably realize this, but there are several places where people's clothing jumps around, such as the otter king's ermine and Sending's mask.

Actually, the otter king's ermine is a detail as old as the concept; it exist purely so, at one point, Sending asks if he has it's real (since why would otters wear other otter family fur) and he says of course. At this point, the ermine lifts its head and says it has the cushiest job in the castle.
However, I have NEVER remembered to include said ermine, and so it exists in that single panel as a rebellious nonsensical credit to itself.
As for other details, they purposefully fluxuate to reinforce the lack of order the dream contains.

This looks great, Star-Seal. It feels like you've incorporated the comments of the judges into your own style and made them yours. The color just melds it all together and creates a fantastic mood.
